I am starting a blog for art tips and tricks as well as step by step videos and the "meaning behind the madness" of some of my creative process. I also plan to feature artist interviews and profiles as well as links for inexpensive art supplies and framing.
Some of the things I will cover in the coming months are not only current design and decorating tips but, tips on painting and airbrushing for the beginner, (followed by more advanced tips and step by step videos). I hope if you have an interest in learning these art forms/medias you'll stop in.
I hope to offer relevant advice and comments as time passes. I keep an eye on current decorating and design trends for those of you trying to break into the fine art/decorating marketing and I will update this blog monthly on the design trends happening in the midwest (Chicago area).
My first blog will be on "animal painting" focusing on fur. I will show how to use both brush AND airbrush techniques to achieve the final "realistic" look. This original recently sold to a collector in Atlanta, GA. I will show how I achieved realistic looking fur using both traditional brush and airbrushing combined in acrylic paints.
